Questions, answered

Are electronic signatures legally binding?

In most countries, yes. Laws such as the US ESIGN Act and UETA, the EU’s eIDAS regulation and the UK’s Electronic Communications Act recognise electronic signatures for most everyday agreements. Bloc Sign records who signed, when, from which IP address and device, and seals the result so the evidence holds up.

Some documents, such as certain wills or deeds, may still need a wet-ink or witnessed signature where you are. If you’re unsure, check with a legal adviser.

Do my signers need a Bloc Sign or Matchouse account?

No. Signers open the link from their email, or from a message if you use link-only mode, and sign straight away in their browser on any phone, tablet or computer.

Why do I sign in with Matchouse?

Bloc Sign is part of the Matchouse family. Your agency, business or professional profile on Matchouse becomes your Bloc Sign workspace, and your colleagues join it automatically when they sign in. You manage one login and one subscription.

How do the free plan limits work?

Each calendar month you can send 5 documents for signing, send 10 signing emails, and upload 5 documents into templates. Every send counts, whether it goes by email or by link, and archiving or deleting doesn’t give a slot back. Duplicating a template counts as uploading its documents again.

The counts reset on the 1st of each month. A Matchouse subscription removes all the limits.

How can someone check that a signed PDF is genuine?

Every completed PDF carries an embedded digital signature. Anyone can upload it to the verify page to confirm that the signature is valid, that nothing was added after signing, and that it matches a document completed in Bloc Sign.

Can I use my own documents and templates?

Yes. Upload any PDF or image, add fields, and save it as a reusable template. Templates can contain several documents, be organised into folders and be duplicated, so you set them up once and send in seconds.

Can I connect Bloc Sign to my other tools?

Yes. Create an API key in Settings to send documents from your own systems, and subscribe to webhooks for events like “viewed”, “completed” and “declined”. Webhook requests are HMAC-signed and failed deliveries are retried automatically.
